it must be fixable :P

That's awesome... until the homemade top shock mount breaks!
-
isn't that an ITC model = immediate terminal colonic ;D
-
Yeah marc it's an '83 ITC with the alloy tank.
-
PRETTY ORGINGAL BIKE,
Oh Yeah, as it come off the showroom floor ;D
-
ITC = I Trashed a Cr. I think even Dr Phil would have trouble trying to understand the reasoning behind this one........... :P
-
That does look pretty original............... I'll watch that one.................
Kick start lever missing! Ever tried to push start a 500CR? ::)

With a frame number of CN-19761, it is an '82.5 CR500 silver streak that has been painted white ;). That makes it a fairly rare bike. Hopefully the butchered frame can be easily repaired (and he hasn't thrown away the original Ohlins shocks).
-
Are you sure it's not an '83 Mark? The top shock mounts are a long way forward.
-
I am fairly sure that it is an '82 model frame and still has the '82 style airbox. The frame may have been modified to move the frame tube, that runs between the top shock mounts, out of the way of the top of the single shock. Maybe this is why the stock sidepanels don't fit anymore ? Bit of a shame really. His excuse for the vandalism is that it gives a better ride ??? . An '83 CR500 would have a frame number of CO-1xxx.

You'd have to be 27 foot tall to even atempt to ride that bike its so tall!!!!! ;D

Does a tube of KY come with it?
