This ones for a mates Resto.
Anyone know where to get a seat foam made for a 1981 Yamaha YZ465H ?
any one had any experience?
-
Try Bultaco parts, they make a yz125c seat foam so they may make the YZ465H foam
-
try Les at vintage plastics. he's got universal foam blocks to cut you own

Thanks Guys, i will pass the info on.

Hoony I just checked the AMS RACING web site in the STATES, they list 79 to 81 YZ250-465 seat foams, I just brought a YAMAHA MX360 SEAT FOAM from them a few weeks ago, it is perfect, there web site has no provision to make direct payment to them, so I just phoned them direct in the morning, they took my credit card details and I emailed them with my shipping address, the seat foam arrived about week and half later with the credit card receipt
The seat foam cost $65 USD plus $43 USD to ship to Sydney, I would recommend them, they are easy to deal with. :)

Great, thanks Betric that is Exactly what my mate will want to hear, well done and thanks for taking the time to give up that info.

Hoony,
Do you have the old set foam still?
If so Mario from TopLine Upholstery in Frankston can build you a seat (with cover) from lounge chair softness to one harder than a modern motocrosser. He can then replicate a seat cover that you would think was OEM with the graphics.
He has done my 3 RM's my KX500 and did a special fro my Berg 550 and they are all perfect.

Is that an 84 KX seat, Rod?
I'm interested.........................
-
Tony,
Already done the 83 and it looks fantastic. In a couple of weeks i'll be getting the 84 done. This will be a bit tricky as he does not have an original cover to work with so we will use brochure/manuals to replicate. No $ difference, just a more accurate representation if you use an original cover.
