Well what can I say, I reckon this is an awesome site, it is so good to read & look at pic's from years gone by, I myself started racing scrambles around 1969 & was a member of MCRCV, I've still got a 1988 KTM350cc don't ride it much nowadays, I still get out on the trails with my G450X Beemer, & I do a bit of road riding on my CBR Honda 1000rr, but I like the dirt better a lot more fun ;D

Did a bit of a search on the word Hattah and there are three pages on Hattah in this forum..
I believe forum members Tony T and Hoony are ex desert dwellers :P ;D

Don't feel ignored oldie, most of us are too busy chatting away in the main forum boards. I fail miserably to find the time to welcome every new member personally, although I see Alison does a good job of it. Don't worry, jump in and you'll soon find you'll be part of some vigorous chats. Just mention introducing Pre 90 into NSW for example...

I would love to hear your opinion of the Beemer. Particularly has the concentric positioning of the drive and swingarm pivot made a noticeable difference? Your general observations would be interesting as well.
Are you still a Mexican or have you seen the light and moved to warmer climes ;D.

Hi Oldie and welcome. I used to be in MCRCV in that era. Dropped out for the odd 35 years and am now back trying to make up lost time. Rejoined MCRCV recently and will race Fang the Sang in as many VCM and CSC events as I can manage this year. Are you in Melbourne? Cheers Jerry

Stockmans Enduro huh. i still do it each year when i can, have done the last 3 and will do it again this year. although i must admit the riding up that way has deteriorated to what it used to be due to DSE only allowing certain areas.

just by slight chance you take these blokes serious "Please don't" the one thing that is lost on internet forums is the tone and sense of humour.
we all have differing humour and Tim's is Quite Unique. that's where those em-icons come in handy when blokes are being light-hearted.

Maybe I should explain, I had a Father that put me & my brothers & Sisters down all our lives, so don't pick on me for spelling or anything else, if you do, then you are stoking the fire, I don't put anybody down, & I don't expect anyone to put me down.
As far the MCRCV goes, I rejoined the club about 2 years ago after a long time away, from memory I left the club after the 2nd stockmans was held, anyway a lot of new faces there & they are a clicky lot, so I don't go there anymore.
If you know me you can pick on my spelling, if you don't know me.........................then don't.
You can have a joke with ppl when you know them, you should know that.

Good onya Oldie, draw a line in the sand early. Welcome mate but don't take things too seriously because the occasional numbnut will raise their head, no doubt.
It's here to enjoy and help out with info.
