Title: PE400 Pistons Ordered, Reproduction Gaskets
Post by: ranchak on January 30, 2010, 04:25:27 pm
I was finally able to place the order for the PE400 Oversize pistons. This has been a long time coming, but finally everything has come together. I do not want to promise a delivery date yet, seems like that has a way of delaying production. I feel reasonably confident that they will be here in February.

I also have reproduction centercase gaskets and will have magneto cover gaskets next week.

I haven't had time, but I do plan on working on the chain guide plates.

Yes that is correct, Ron is having all this stuff reproduced. If theres any discontinued suzuki part you want just ask and he can see if he can get it made.

Hi Michael, I have to say that I've stalled on many of my projects. I'm finally getting around to getting going again. I need to bring them back out and get working on them. I have the chain flap that I want to do also. If you had to pick between the chain flap and the turnsignal rubbers, which one? Thanks, Ron

The rubber chain flap. Have you got a good one to copy?

Yes, I have a NOS one that I bought off ebay awhile back. I've been waiting(hoping) for business to pick up before I reproduce more parts, but that hasn't happened. I decided to move forward and hopefully things will work out. I don't have a set price for the chain flap, but it looks like it will be somewhere around $25. I'll have to sell quite a few of these to break even, but if I can cover the cost then I can move on and reproduce another part.

yep i would buy at least 6 of them. I know someone else who will also by a couple. That must have been some time ago you  bought one on ebay. Ive only seen one in the past 5 years and i bought it. Will they be made from tough tear resistant urethane?

Frosty or LWC82PE....which flap are you talking about?
If you get a chance to Alpha-sport it...what number is it?
Most likely put me down for 1 or 2 as well from Ron
cheers....mario

The part number is 61321-40501, I will try to get them made from a more tear resistant rubber. Does any one have a 61311-40502? This is another part I would like to reproduce. Magneto cover gaskets will be here by Friday. Thanks for your guys' input, keep the suggestions and your opinions coming, Ron
