This is Australian Classic Car magazine. Each month they have a page on "Rusty Treasures" - typically rare/valuable old cars rusting away in someone's backyard/paddock.
The current issue has a pic of a half a dozen cars, what looks to be a Honda CB twin, and this:

Any idea of what it is? It looks like its been butchered (steel strap welded on behind foot peg, funny extra bars in front of the engine, etc).
My guess is early Maico, mostly because of the external fork springs and the rear hub - but then again, the brake and sprocket are on the wrong side.
There are no other pics of it. The article specifically does not mention where the farmer's paddock is.

My guess is CZ too. I'd rather save the Sprite.

Is that a CZ footpeg?

Been doing battle with Google image search.
Based on what I've been able to find (ie: I'm not saying that I've looked at pics of every model of each brand!):
1. Not Greeves - wrong down tube (even the non-alloy ones), wrong swing arm.
2. Not Cotton - they mostly seem to have twin down-tubes, and different shock mounts.
3. Not DOT - they seem to be a lot less conventional around the swing-arm pivot than this frame.
4. Not CZ - they all seem to have round section down-tubes, and different shock mounts on the swing-arm.
5. Not Maico - they all seem to have twin down-tubes.
Although, I'm wondering if the frame add-ons are to fit a multi-cylinder road bike engine - which could easily mean that the down tube has been replaced...
I figured that the footpeg would be a big clue - but I don't know what had leg-breaker pegs of this design.
Both the cars you can see are Sprites, FWIW.

Ooops that ain't a CZ peg maybe it's a Jawa........F**k it, it could be anything but it does look like a dirt bike but doesn't look British.

2. Not Cotton - they mostly seem to have twin down-tubes, and different shock mounts.
The Minerelli engined Cottons had single front downtubes but the chain was on the RHS. Hub is also half width. Those Cottons used full width Grimeca hubs.

I'm with you Firko, I'd rather save the Sprite or the MGB :D

4. Not CZ - they all seem to have round section down-tubes, and different shock mounts on the swing-arm.
Those shock mounts on the swingarm are typical of early CZ's, twin pipe to 73.
As are the footpegs typical of early CZ's Pre 71
But the rest of it isn't typical of any CZ that I know.

My guess is cz road bike or Jawa road bike. Where the foot peg bolts on, the round bar goes to the other foot peg ( foot peg to foot peg) is a cz thing but the forks have the springs on the outside which certainly isn't cz mx. Early cz swing arm looks like that.
