if anyones thinking about bidding , do your homewrok as you may find these go for over the amount clarke are selling them for. the Clarke yellow tanks are very good also, a very good yellow.
-
yep already over 140 US!, these are gonna go for over $200 ea you watch them! :) so save your self the pain and get a Clarke one, then buy decals and cap separately.
i beleve making plastic tanks is highly specialized and not like doing fenders or fibreglass stuff so i doubt there is another mob other than Clarke making these replicas. i remember someone asking DC plastic if they can make tanks but they said its a totally different process and a lot more involved and expensive.

I just bought one of these Clarke tanks for my 250T, expecting it to arrive in the next few days.
Now I just gotta find the correct tank stickers for it.....
-
Kev What did they charge for postage and handling ?
-
I emailed the guy on ebay who had the above tanks listed and he tells me tm400 replica are on the cards. I reckon it would be the end to few issues but certainly they'll probably weigh more than a steel or alum tank. A replica plastic tank on the TMS400 would be sweet 8)
-
Clarke usually charge about $60 US for shipping/handling. takes about 7-10 days to arrive.
-
Example of tank shipping cost: I just received an alloy PE250B tank from a mate in the backwoods - US$45 shipping from North Carolina to Sydney.
-
Kev What did they charge for postage and handling ?
The whole lot cost me about $190 US including shipping, roughly $40 - $45 to ship it.
-
oh my gosh, has any one else checked to see what these tanks have gone for?
-
yeah I been watching LWC..$250 for the 370 tank I thought pretty fair considering what NOS genuine would fetch. ;)
-
Guys
The tank that I bought for my 250T arrived today.
It's bloody awesome, for $200.00 odd delivered it's also great value.
Have a great Christmas
Kev
