Title: clutch covers 82 83 cr 250

I wanted some facts on these covers I think these are different and a 82 cover wont fit correctly on an 83 bottom end  is the true?

I have what I think is a 82 clutch cover as it fits on a 83 bottom end but there is a difference where the water pump is,   the most forward bolt hole at the top of the water pump only bolts the water pump cover to the clutch cover and not to the cases

so is this a 82 cover? and the bottom end a 83 or vise versa

the engine # on   the case starts with ME03E 250

they should be the same even though the frame is slightly different in the mount area
the water pump bolts only one goes right through to the case abd as you say its the forward lowr one
