1971 would make it Charlie Edwards old bike, 125 I gather?
Sounds like an interesting bit of gear.

If it is a  Bandito, are you sure its a hagon not many banditos in gen hagons but might be Phil Youngs  aust copy and he won around then.

Does it have a standard issue flat front number plate or a small fibreglass fairing typy similar to a road racer? From memmory Charlie used them on his bikes.

I"m pretty sure this is Charlie Edwards 789  at Romsey in VIC, He was always up the front and in the thick of it.  8)

That's Charlie for sure, I forgot what Charlies number was and 27 is Ray Owen I think.
Interesting caption, it asks a few questions of its own.
Great shot do you have any more?

It was an article on expansion chambers in T&T, they used shots from anywhere,
I was lucky enough to see them both a few times at Romsey, must be some old film out there somewhere, maybe  :-\

At first look it could very well be Charlies bike, twin front down tubes and early Hagon seat.
In 1971 a guy on a Maico won the 250 & 350 ( Lightweight & Junior ) Aussie titles and Charlie the 125  (Ultra-lightweight ).
Please excuse my ignorance on Bultaco models but I assume the ElBandido is a 125?
Ian should chime in soon as to whether it's a Hagon or a copy.
I'm interested.

Hampster, I'm talking the Short Circuit Titles, maybe it's the LongTrack Title that it won.
