That's the prettiest damn Cheney I've seen for quite a while. It's the same model as my Yamaha version and seeing that has empowered me to get it finished. My tank was was plain alloy when I got it but it would have originally been anodized red like this gem. It's a no brainer now, she's off to the anodizers. I think the side panels were originally red as well, do you think I should leave 'em clear or anodize them as well? I can't make my mind up.Below: Cheney Husky with red side panels

EDIT: Although I still think this is a gorgeous Cheney, I reckon he's committed a boo boo by using Bultaco wheels instead of the standard Rickman or REH hubs. It's not as if they're hard to find. I know it's a bit anal and really up to the builder/owner as to what he wants to use, but when you're dealing with these top of the food chain bikes, I think I'd want the best components of the era and specifically what Cheney themselves used. I'm a bit bothered by the length of the rear shocks as well. Although the Curnutts are legit period items, they seem overly long to me.

Mark,if you're going to bling your Cheney up as much as that guy has with all the polished bits,wouldn't you be thinking to do the side panels in red anodising as well to make it not too over powering ?
S'pose it depends on wether you paint the engine or polish it up,really.

only thing I would change is the Yamaha kill switch. Maybe polish the tank.

Yeah you're right Marc but this one's a keeper. How about you sell me your spare B44 engine instead. I've got a Hindall frame screaming for it. ;D

You never know what's down the line Marc. I'm concentrating on finishing the started projects and the spare Hindall is earmarked for my trick DT1 engine but I haven't started it other than to collect the parts to build it. If I'm still detuned after finishing my other bikes it may go on the market. Although it's dimensionally slightly smaller than my Ducati Hindall, the BSA motor is sure to fit. It'll be a few months before I make that decision however. ;)
Ironically, there are already two Hindalls in Japan to my knowledge. One is a very trick B50 motocrosser and the other a 650 Triumph in street tracker trim. The same bloke owns both, I think his name is Akira.

Hey Mark, you never know but keep at it, no sense in giving away the trick bits too soon. I am also having a year of finishing things off this year....oh and letting my bank account recover ;D
