I dont think they came with one? You might need to make one to fit in with rules these days.

CAnt see why not rule say needs to look original, not nessacary be one, if its only a peripheral part.

plus you would still need to get over the exposure anyway as it would have to be closed in for racing .  Still nice peice of kit.

Nice job

I know Mr Gall is looking for one and there would be no problems with eligibility

that is a clutch actuator cover - nothing to do with the sprocket - still would need a sprocket cover also.

YOu should trim up a Dt1  and put your good one on the shelf for later, and they look better than a made up seperate one i reackon, as the cover is one peice, just loose the flaired bit at the back, if you look closely at mine i still have the bolt that goes back to the case in place, so it fairly strong and tidy too

not a bad idea as I am not keen on the "lump" I have hanging off mine - and Geoff "bite your bum" before you come in with more comments about lumps on bikes  ;D

Ahoy Yamaha land- does anyone know of a genuine elctronic ignition to suit the XS650 motor. I have been told that they are available in the US as they came standard on the later models sold there.
I know Yamaha SR500 were sold in Asia with CDI and they have only just stopped making those.
Can anyone varify the above and/or can someone point me to a contact in the US.
Cheers. (Chairs??)
