recharge and bring back the super bucket racing, genuine 100cc racing machines, and 125 or 150 4stroke no bigger genuine, unlimited great fun from 1970 to pre 78 era. that should stop bickering and open the parcel up with parts that can be used. like anything in that era, but the engine SIZE stay the SAME ( open for ideals )

Sounds like fun DOT , I had heaps of fun riding my daughters ttr 125 at the time but it wasnt pre 78 ..
and racing all her mates on there minis ,its fun and you get fast in the tight stuff taking on big bores 8)
could be a winner with this ideal must be a few bikes around in this size range 8)

bring back the eary model postie to race ,,I had one chopped the air box up jeted it removed the baffle it flew through the tight stuff in the bush :o
it did 110km but you had to sit on the rear carry rack and your head down near the foot pegs but :D

THE CLASSIC CLUB HAS BUCKET RACING, THE RULES NEED TO BE OPEN UP AND CHANGED, WHY, BECAUSE SOME OF THE BUCKETS ARE TOO BIG. IT NEEDS TO ENCOURAGE MORE 100CC 2 STROKES. PLUS I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS AT NATIONAL LEVEL TOO.

THERE IS AN EXAMPLE
Lets say l had a dt 100, the keep is legal, l could make that bike look like a yz 100 A, l did own one about 10 years ago, great bike, and it is still around.
Lets say l owned a xr 75, so l wanted to put that engine into a larger frame, with a cut off date of 1977 or even 1976, l have a larger choice, then that 75 4 stroke engine l could make it bigger, or use a 125 engine, that is your choice., at the end of my restoration that bike could look like a smaller version of these honda cheney bikes that are racing in the bigbore races. do you get my drift

vmx 247, eye, your a galiant lady, l see these bikes on ebay for sale, and not many are bidded on or sold, these bikes are going to waste, and they could be made special.

Dot if you look at that link VMX247 posted you'll see this particular topic was discussed over 19 pages. The biggest single issue facing many is what proper vmx'er do leave at home to drag along a bucket racer? I have a kawa G5 100, yam DT100B, suz TS100 and pre'65 K11 and lastly an SL100 honda. I also have my KH125 bucket racer in pieces, I love the tiddlers but again the issue arrises that can't be skirted. What bike do I leave behind to take a bucket racer? :-\ the idea is great and yes loads of fun to be had but I honestly feel you'd struggle to get the numbers especially at a national event when other classes take predominance.

Doc, thanks, l like the smaller bikes to, years ago we had a class event called the world mini bike championship. it was made up of xr 75, dax, everything small, l am talking full size bikes only. with small capacities. you may be right, but it would be nice to see a unlimited class for these bikes. Sorry for bringing it up again.
just had a mine blow out, bultaco 100cc mk7 or mk8, wouldn`t look neat, hodaka,. anyway it was exciting for a moment.

Dot--Just take it and play with it at club level ,,,you never know it might start a fad.

Good luck Dave but it ain't going to happen. We spent 19 pages discussing this only to discover exactly what Doc said plus no club put their hand up to run it.
I built a Honcho, as did a couple more but overall it was just a 19 page cyber race.
I just had a bit of a look at that thread and noticed Wombats posts. What ever happened to him?

Yes, l thing you are right fellows, as nice as they are and cost affective, you cannot beat the power and performance of a big bike. this thread is out the door, dead and over.

He was spectating at the Nationals, and we exchanged a few PMs afterwards, but I haven't heard from him since.
