Title: Pre-75 KX rear hubs.
Post by: Nathan S on January 01, 2010, 08:33:36 pm
Anyone got a pic of one?

Same or different for 125, 250 and 450?

TIA. :)

125 was smaller than others. 130mm brake. Same hub as KS/KE125 IIRC

74KX250 used 15mm axle, whereas 75-76KX250 used 17mm. All 250s had 150mm brake

Not sure about KX450, but probably same as 74 KX250

Thanks guys...
I was really hoping that the early KX hubs were the same as/similar to later KDX or KLX, to be honest. I was playing my cards close to my chest in case they were close but not identical - if that had been the case, I'd have kept my mouth shut and fitted one to the bike... :D

Anyhow, a mate sent me a parts diagram, and they're miles different to the early KX bits.

The bike is an F11 that I'm figuring out what to do with - and the original wheels are pretty scary.

I thought you'd know how to get out of that one Nathan......put some of your spare Yamahaha wheels/brakes on it!!!...... I think you might have a spare or three. ;D
