At the Mt Larcom show (near Gladstone) there is chainsaw racing and for years many of us local petrol-heads have enjoyed seeing, hearing and smelling the worked two-stroke motors on those things scream away. The chambers stick out like whatsits, no mufflers, and sound fantastic. This year one of them had nitrous oxide injection as well as the other usual hot gear. I hadn't seen that on a two stroke till then.
I reckon that 'taco drag bike would be a fantastic thing to see going. A bloke I went to Uni with in 1976 had a 250 Astro powered kart that was a pretty wild thing at the time but that drag bike would be in a different ballpark.

There was a guy in Darwin in the early 90's with a TM400 powered drag bike and that ran Nitrous.
I can't remember his times but he claimed it weighed 120lbs.

That would be the only "Taco" that Don Newell hasn't got.

Hey there feetupfun,

Do they still do the chainsaw comps?  I've just moved to Gladstone and reckon that would be cool to take the kids out to watch  ;D
