hi guys ,ive been a bit of a lurker around here,
i just love my old bikes mainly honda
mainly mini bikes,
soon as i can talk the wife round,
i be restoring a vinduro beast to try and race

Do you have other bikes and what vinduro bike are you in vic there are a lot more vinduro's happening in vic thanks Michael. :)

im up in qld,had plans of racing a it465 but wife says no  :-[
i'll let her have her way then she wont winge about my
collection of old bikes,i have a good range of old hondas ,mainly hond mini trail
i'll get my way in the long run, :D

I had a minitrail z50 with st70 motor was a good first bike thanks Michael. :)

Heya Retty,didn't realise you had those early pics of the minis racing.I wouldn't of left on Saturday if you bought those out  ;).
Even after seeing those MRs of yours up close and personal,the photos definately does them justice.
O,off the thread topic for a bit.
The IT is a bit sad,but mainly cosmetic as you know.Got the clutch cover off and all,just need to measure the clutch.

people actually raced z50's? oh well ive come close. ive had mine flat out a few times (at 45 km/h)

Z50's are good fun my z50 with st70 motor used to go pretty well even though there suspension is nearly none at all thanks Michael. :)

Before SL70's and XR75's there were only Z50's and Dax's so if you wanted to race.. that was it.

yeah but racing a hardtail z50 must've been interesting. without any rear suspension the handling is a bit funny

It would have been hard going not much difference in all the field you would have had to ride flat out to stand a chance of winning. :)

Hi all

I raced them Z50 and MR50s and XR75 at wallen back in the 70s won many of the champs back then till 1975 and we left Vic we even had a sidecar on Z50 i know mine 60mph Johns boys Neveil Bond Darren Youngerblood David Armstong rode Sl70s and xr75s back then till 75 in Melb wallen was great in one of them pics 131 is Neveil Bond from Fury Racing

That is like his old bike his dad Alf made the bigger carby addators and they where never like the pipe allways come out the right side of the bile as well looking at the potos i have here do you have any more photos from that night my old race no was 62 that as Nev was my best freind even after i left Melb we raced togeather from around 1972 all over Melb and there was was Steven Peters and nev brother my little brother Sally Peters as well Neveil lived at airport west i still have a fmf jumper his dad give me in i think it was 76.
