Title: Dt1 and Dt1F frame legal and any differance bar the ign hole, +story with tank ?

OK so are botht eh DT1F and the Dt1 frames PRe 70 legal ? regardless of swingarm.

One has the ign key hole on the frame the other does not, can i use either ?

also will the same petrol tanks fit either frame ? i though someone had emntioned the tank on one model is specific IF so what was it and hoe do you identify that frame so i can avoid it.

it's all legal Freaky.
i've put a DT1 tank onto my RT2 frame with zero hassle. so i'd guess theres no dramas with tanks at all.
now if you've got a spare swing~arm, i'd be interested :)

YEs i have 5 of these puppies in frames but i though someone said the early frames wont take the later tanks ?

3 have square swing arms and 2 have round ones but some have the ign lock on the left below the head gusset the later one doesnt , looks like the YZa front. 

I just dont want to clean one up and then find its not a legal frame for pre 70 and worse the only tank i have with the flip top lid wont fit on the frame cause its not interchangable.    Does the seat front hold down the tank ? there dont seem to be anyting to hold it down otherwise ?

 Dave T, (211)   do you see any issue from your end with these frames ?

also can we use other seats pre 70 ? like the MX250 or a similar fixed seat ? the only Dt one i have is rusted base and would prefer to use a fixed postion like a normal seat ?

any other things i should know ? pre 70 wise that might raise you eyebrow.....

i forgot to add in my PM Freaky that i also "narrow" the frame rails to fit the MX seat.
i don't care if anyone has an issue with me running that seat in pre~70 as my butt is more important than opinions.
they still look period i reckon.
