Paul tells me that there was discussion onhere a while ago about billet clutch baskets for YZ 465's. I've scoured the search ares but can't find mention of one. Does such an item exist and where can I get one from? :-\
-
g'day rossco, have you tried the Hinson site or contacted John Titman Racing in QLD?
-

-
Ross, if you have issue 37 of VMX they have a advert for them next to the story on the IT250J.

Hi Ross
There is a site in uk on ebay his name is rider-83 they come up every know and then for 145 aus 30 shipping
been thinking about getting one myself .
see ya next year team yz 465 sssss
-
Hey thanks everybody. I'm overwhelmed!
Yes Arn. Go Team Yamahaha! ;)
-
If you tie a string to a small toy sheep, and then tie the string to a stick, and then attach the stick to the crossbar so the sheep sticks out about a foot to the front, you'll find that those YZ465's (and any Yamaha for that matter) will go heaps faster. Their farm bike heritage will really shine through. Can you get through scrutineering with the shovel holder still on?
Cheers,
K

Do you have to find a toy sheep that was around in the era? I don't want to turn up and have someone protest my sheep as too modern? Are there any suppliers that do reproduction EVO sheep?

I think this could be the thread your were thinking of 414.

i have one of those billet clutch baskets
for my yz465 it is the one that
was advertised in vmx back then
it comes with rivets
very well made

Once again thanks all.
I've been having a look at some of the "Farm bikes" and their riders for next year and I've a feeling that some of this 'joviality' will be short lived (at least untill after the final team's race next year ;))
