on its way back into my RM500, thing of great beauty
-
very nice ;)
-
i'm a fan of the mighty RM500 (don't tell any Honda guys Like STW, 090 or Magoo) , Pity they signed off on development so early on.
-
yeah the next generation 500 ended up in a bloody quad. Weird when Honda and Kawasaki kept on building and selling 500s for years afterward.
Yamaha too, where was the watercooled YZ500.
They could have done a lot more with the RM500 motor, imagine PE500 or even TS500ER.
-
.....or it slotted in a KLX frame ;) ;)
-
That looks good Mark the rm500 quadzilla I think was the fastest quad ever built I dont know if it still maintains that record or not. :)

Mate of mine owns R1 powered Yamaha Banshee quad.... on tarmac or dirt it is frightening and then some. He is ex quad national champ so uses it.
Mate the RM500 would drop straight into a PE400 .... give you something coool

Hmm that is interesting if only I could find a rm500 motor I am going to make a pe400 project bike so if someone has a rm500 motor give me a hoy thanks Michael. :)

RM465 would also go well.

The bronze color is the '85 RM500 engine color I think.
Cheers,
K

Interesting K, the crankcase looks like it is NOS
-
The crankcases have no numbers on them so have been NOS at some point, also they started as 85 color....so could be 85.
-

-
yeah but only after Chris shoehorns a certain Rickman together.
