Title: RM 250 T plastics
Post by: LWC82PE on November 10, 2007, 08:10:15 pm: What options are available for an original rear fender and front number plate for a 1980 RM 250 T? according to alpha-sports the rear fender is no longer available but I haven’t checked on the front number plate. Very close to correct colour is a priority so the safety yellow DC plastic replicas are not an option for me. What are vintage suzukis plastics like? Anyone tried any RM stuff from vintage iron? Is there anyone else doing these 2 items in plastic? There was someone on ebay selling repro RM plastics but cant think who it was. Maybe it was Yand S racing?
Yeah so the colour is most important and the correct shape/fit, not fussed how glossy as I can just make them more glossy my self if I want.

i looked at vintage iron, no fender there
the one they listed on vintage susuki site was not correct. it was more of a universal type that covers some of the newer types eg 465. it didnt look right and looked too short. looking at the parts book i think the original one extends back to the air box?

arent Vintage Plastics stuff the same as DC's stuff?

I bought the guards as I thought they would look great on the DRM project , ended up using UFO univesals due to fact I couldn't see my self cutting up hard to get parts :)

Post by: Maico31 on November 15, 2007, 08:12:29 pm: I put a '77 RM250 rear guard from vintage suzuki on my RM250t and it gave it that 'works' look and i used a preston petty 'Tony D' on the front. A replica 1980 front guard from Vintage Suzuki might be the go, their stuff is really good and shiny unlike DC plastics.
