Strange looking 440 Maico on ebay,Classic and Collector.?Honda plastics and seat? The info panel says 1977 and I'm no expert but is that a later model frame? Not sure about the white out look.

This is the cover bike for the "How to Make Your Maico Even Uglier" manual.
That tank is sure one ugly puppy. I now know never to paint my Maico frames white...........

Some people just have no idea.

i dont understand you guys. that bike is a really good project ,the engine has a new standard sleeve and mahle piston new bearings new big end new gear box bearings and some gears with about 5 hours on the engine if that
ok hes done a real bodgey job on the tank and seat plastics .pipe which you can get after you throw away the odd stuff, but its a 79 440 motor crosser underneath with the correct numbers ,argueablly the best handeling maico built, which i dont think ive seen one come up for sale ever
any way i think its a good thing so i bought it :o so paint the frame add a tank seat and plastics +pipe
its cheap 79 440 mx and the 79 is a good looking bike
You will have to forgive us for our blindness, some of us just can't get past the Ugly duckling to see the beautiful swan you will make of it.

Good on you Paul I didn't like the tank but I did like the whole bike as a package It is only cosmetic changes not major changes that couldn't be reversed it is still a maico and probably goes like sting thanks, Michael.
-
Good transformation there Paul I hope the 440 comes up as good thanks Michael. :)

Good, I would have bought it myself if I had wanted another Maico. It was a good deal....but it sure is an ugly bugger. At least it's gone to a good home.

Whoa Paul I didnt say it was a bad thing just strange looking. In fact I was a bit dissapointed to see it had been sold (was going to bid later on).Pleased to see it go to a good home.
