we are now effectivly working with the 2010 rule book so therefore the new book notes the legal use of the carbs in EVO and Pre 85. Its only these classes.

Gardiner flatslides were used and freely available in the 60's(and today) try and tell me that isn't within the period? You wouldn't want a Lectron anyway ::)

Guys

so there is no confusion, you can use a flat slide carb on pre 85 and EVO, flat slides are excluded from pre 78 everything else earlier.
There is no "you can use this and cant use that" in the rules for flat slides but suggest that common sence prevails; in other words if its a 1990s techo thing dont use it as if you cant prove the technology was available pre 85 someone will some day ask it tested in a protest and frankly I dont want to be there.

Keep within the spirit of the sport. Go and have a good time, thats whats its all about really.
