Broadford it is this time. Barrabool is fine too and old Ravenswood with its poor gritty surface, ruts, rocks mud dust and sections of half a sidecar wide goat tracks was and still is a buzz.. So I be throwing out some feelers, if anybody would be wanting to try being a sidecar passenger,we will most likely need a mug. oops I mean a healthy sound minded individual to assist in the piloting of a very home made Honda outfit. Please bear in mind the last time my elder son raced this machine he flipped it and crushed more than 7 bones in one foot ...I have made some improvements like it has now brakes, sort of, and slightly more useless crap suspension and I have bronzed up (or painted over...)about thirty cracks and brakes on the frame so yep shes ready to go. PM me Tim754............ but then again it might just do some laps at the Bike Bonanza....

G'day Tim , you lost me at "wanting to try being a sidecar passenger" and then the rest just purely scared the shitter out of me.

sorry Waspy (and Tim) after 1-2 years part time swinging for Bernard Mueller, Tex and Grant Dargue i worked out that i wanted to be in control of my own destiny and needed the throttle in my hand my wheat-bag days then were over (except for 1 dirt track on the side of Darren Robinsons Methanol fueled KX500 orbiter after my solo seized in practice, never again)

Hoony you can have the throttle side if your willing Daniel prefers being the bag of pig manure as in his words. "it keeps you busy on the track and stops racing boredom" His younger brother Matt was always the totally loony rider, but he now resides in Karatha WA ..... :D

Certainly sounds like things are getting wound-up for Broady next year, folks looking for passengers already, WA teams saving their lunch money to make the trip over-and here in Qld we've got lots of interest so better book a spot to pitch a tent soon or we'll be out on the road.

What honda engine are you using ?

If your asking me "Tim754 ",Dunno but not any of my 736cc ones, maybe the 798. just possibly the 820 or low comp 836 , not the 900cc or 1024cc to much of road race revvers or drag engines, that leaves the hi comp 836. Hmmm Yep the hi comp 836 , purpose built crank and camshaft makes power to spare and its torque gets it to the back wheel in bags, runs fine on cheap + 108 octane Avgas on "standard type carbies" * , Solid non slipping Barnett 70s period clutch, genuine 1974 Martek electronics, smooth beefed up gears and still has the electric starter fitted.... * My beloved set of CR race carbies with manifolds and some other goodies got stolen a couple of years back from my sons ute. They where carefully marked and woe betide the prick using them if I ever see them again......

TIM754, what chassis is it and what class do you run, it kinda looks pre75 but with a standard Honda frame. sweet art work too.

EML correct on all fronts! of course Pre 75, is standard frame (with extra gusseting and bracing ) sidecar universal Wasp bolt on, front end Wasp re engineered to fit into the 754 head stem . Rear wheel standard 18inch and drum brake, front 19 inch modified to suit front end and pre75 single pot disk. (used to run 19 inch SL350 front wheel with the tiny 6.5 inch twin leader front brake, to say it lacked stopping power was an understatement... ) Air brush art work is for real, but I confess to swapping the tank to a plain black one at race time. Still the 754 has those three must haves of a pre75 MX sidecar ,Heavy, Loud and Brute strength. ;) Cheers
