Ah but it has the magical NOS factor. For NOS builder it is worth an extra grand. One of my buddies spent a grand on a NOS TT500 speedo, you know the one that dangles in space. So anything is possible.

oh yeah anything is possible and obscene prices for rare bits doesn't surprise me in the least but I was just quoting what I thought a 'realistic' price for an aftermarket item. Unfortunately as soon as someone pays big dollars it then sets a precidence and word spreads from there. We are our own worst enemies ;)

Here's my current  "Tell him he's dreamin' "

He advertised this heap of shit on Gumtree and I told him then that he was dreaming and no-one would pay anything more than 300-500 for it and here it is on eBay and he still wants 3 GRAND  :D :D :D

That XS250 ad is hilarious...."once you put the valves in it will be worth a lot of money"!!! What the..yeh like from a $200 parts bike to a $500 runner...holy moly. If he sells that for 3 grand I'm selling my old XS250 that runs for 4 grand!!   :D

But seriously, did he really pay $1000 for one?   :o  They don't come around too often, but you do see them occasionaly.  It's the brackets that are harder to find than the speedos....  ???
