Title: Interest in getting a batch of conrods made for a Honda cr 480

 I am trying to get one of the accredited USA piston manufacturers to make a batch of conrod's for a cr 480. These guys want a minimum order and I am trying to gauge interest around the world.
If you have any interest please indicate numbers, email address etc
I will keep you guys posted.

why not make them in Korea or China.

I have been tempted to get a run of Mugen kits and Fox Forx done in Guangxou

The Chinese or Taiwanese will copy or make ANYTHING to pretty high standard but they want a min order of 500. Also be very very clear in what you want and check and recheck any DWG/DXF/IGES/STL files sent. If there are inaccuracies they will be copied.

Minimum order is the issue. We occasionally produce one offs in Japan of parts but the cost is hell.

Is there no alternative supplier or rod the same length.

In order to do that first need the measurements of the original. ::)
One thing is sure be very careful dealing with some US suppliers as they mostly out source to China/Taiwan , the minimum order might be less but you could soon find yourself competing with them.As your 100  min order in the US might cover the cost of 500 in Asia.If you catch my drift.

Thanks for the input. researched the site and made a connection with a company Proform/ Maico Only. The gentleman Eric was a real help and a rod kit solution may be at hand soon. I am now anxiously waiting for a rod kit based on a Proform solution - i am impressed with Eric at Maico Only he has been a great help so far.
