Hi
 while most of you are talking about the 81 cr's
Whats a really good bottom end worth for a 81 450, all it needs is a top end and its a goer

I don't know may $200-$400...... a lot depends on who needs the cash at the time.... offer $100 and a carton.

Mostly good bottom end means you normally would strip and check it....then paint and reassemble, usually you can find head and barrel for $200-300, assuming it is all in good order add piston, then rod kit is advisable.... realistically you drop a grand into most motors if you start with good bits. A lot more if it needs specialist odd sized or doweled bearings etc
