Okay Suzuki maestro's, What can I do to make one REV. I've heard mention that you can disconnect the counterbalance shafts?
I'm starting from scratch with this one.

They are a thumper and won't rev that well. Removing counter balance gives a few more revs, but your hands will numb due to vibrations & you will be constantly tightening loose bolts
Best tip is sort the timing & carb out and short shit gears ;)

I have a DR that I'm racing at present and have changed the exhaust (bigger diameter), carbi jetting (still experimenting) and changed the suspension. The motor is unreal and works better than my XL500 with the counter balances removed. I wouldn't change anything in the motor just let it flow better, maybe some head work and change the carbi to either bigger or a pumper. PM me if you want to know more.
