Well, you know, I do have a soft spot for those things. In fact, I know where there is a nice 79 TT500F just sitting around. It's all original, but a bit tatty. One day I might try to twist the owner's arm. I was talking to him just the other day and he confirms it's still there...

But this one is much nicer, for sure. It would be a nice buy!

Already at $6500 and plenty of time to go...... Kiwis would walk past 10 Maicos to get to a good TT500

I don't think that's so weird. If you lined up a mint example of say a Maico 490, YZ250G, CR250RZ, IT490 and a TT500F and said take your pick, I'd take the TT every time...

Up to $8550 now, see Mick you have been buying the wrong bloody bikes up, shed full of TT500s would have seen you retired by now.

I understand the reserve for this TT500 is $12500....very reasonable

Hey c'mon. In that sort of nick one of those things would have to be worth, what, $15,000? In fact I'd say for the right guy $20,000 is not out of the question. It's a work of art.

I can't see one being worth that much. While it is nice, they aren't rare and it's not a works bike.

I guess a good clean TT500 is worth about the same as any other mint NOS VMXer.
You couldn't build it for much less than 10K.

I was thinking about values, I guess 20-30K buys factory bike RH/OW
15-20K buys highly desirable CCM/ G80 Rickman
10-15K buys 2nd level highly desirable MC490/ Foxy CR, Mugen/HL
10K mint production MXer .... lots of NOS and trick parts, mint original
5K ....tidy comkon or garden production, RM400, YZ465 etc
Under 5K.... normally bikes that will soon be well over 5K.
