Post by: Ji Gantor on October 13, 2009, 08:07:30 am
I have a 125 that is not in a crate coming from Melbourne to Brisbane.
Is anyone coming up in the next week or is there a good carrier Co?

Thanks Ji

Hey Ji I've contacted a few companies trying to get bikes sent up from Mexico and the prices have been around $400 - 500 recently. So I'd like to find out the current prices also.

Try CLS transport from Byron. Craig and Lisa Standage run some trucks up and down the coast and Craig was Qld champ sidecar passenger a few times and is a top bloke.
Try 02 6687 7476
Say Vaughn said to call.

Try The Bike Movers www.thebikemovers.com.au (http://www.thebikemovers.com.au)
I have been around bikes since my first 5 speed XR75 in 77.
All bikes transported are fully insured while in our possession. We use fully enclosed specialised transporters. We don't transport anything other than Motorcycles so there is much less chance of damage. Door to door service. We can do handover payments for you. We service from Whyalla SA to Nth Qld. We do not do WA and NT. We are much cheaper than the prices noted here. Check out the website for more detail on what we do.
Mention ozvmx when you call or email.

Cheers
Mark

Hey Ji, I had a bad experience with a guy from Allwest in Sydney about 3 years ago. They gave me a quote to move a bike (YZ125J) from near Liverpool to Pennant Hills (so I could pick it up and bring it back to Brisbane) and they under quoted a bit. I didn't put any pressure on them but when the bike didn't arrive and after a few calls things started to get ugly. I remained polite through the whole episode, however, the guy on the other end of the line started to get nasty, abusive and threatening! In the end the bike got delivered. This is the first time I have spoken about it in 3 years as I was worried he'd go around to my friends house in Sydney and get nasty. Beware  :-\
