I am always going to be bias as I am from Queensland but all of those who attend this year would find it hard to go against.

As the boy's from VMX mag have said for the long term building of the event it needs a permanent home and with Conondale it may well have found one!

We will have to settle for the Bike Bonanza at Broadford next year, 1780 km from Melbourne and around $800.00 in fuel is a bit hard to take I’m afraid.
Unless my Tattslotto numbers come up one Saturday night!

Hey Alison, you better organise that container, fill it full of bikes and post it over to sunny Conondale. I'll have some Moor Geist for the Kevlar boys, Walter your buying the beer this time. Rumer has it Angelina will be in Brads pit :P, TM Bill will be there (with his cheerleaders), DJ will be at Bindies (aparently with Mark-Firko Firkin), big Eddie, I dont have a golf club fetish Grant will be swinging, the O show will be riding and the band will be rocking!!!!!. Bring it on baby.........QLD perfect one day.......Classic dirt the next :) :)                    Wonder how many Mexicans will turn up?.

Yes, the cat is out of the bag now....  ;D

Hopefully the Victorian and South Australian VMXers will come to CD7, after all it's still closer for them than it is for the North Queenslanders!

From the reports I received regarding the event held this year, I don't think the Broadford thing is really comparable to Classic Dirt with regard to the dirt bike side of things and it would be nice to have our Southern friends at CD7.  :)

how boring, same state, same great track, another 460 riders, drunks hill, trials tracks, enduro loops, great swimming hole and creek, non stop entertainment from mates, camp fire beers, top food, top organisers, they even let the sidecars come and all within 30 minutes from home!

na, why bother ;D

Klub Kevlar Will there with a shitload of new garage queens including the trick NSU Greeves from old Frank, my Cheney Yamaha, Maico Metisse and perhaps the rebuilt "DT1 from Hell" in RT1 guise, Jonesys matching set of American Eagles and his very trick '74 CCM that hasn't been seen since the '95 Condo meeting and a whole bunch more. Partywise we'll have a couple of new blenders, we're working on a rum sponsorship (  perhaps some of you may have happened upon the Bill Forsyth photo shoot down by the creek at CD7 involving a bottle of Nicaraguan rum sitting on or near the blue Metisse ). We're also stockpiling an interesting collection of Schnapps and Absinthe.
We're also working on a having a foreign legend guest of our own. He wanted to come last year but family shit got in the way.

One situation yet to be sorted is that we've talked so much about the fun we had at CD7 that the ladyfolk have indicated that they want some fun as well and will be coming next time..... ::)

A little off track and maybe too early but related.

Does anyone know if there is a vintage meeting the weekend before or after CD7? Anywhere on the east coast. Another meeting would just add so much more value to the trip

Wouldn't it be great but I fear that it'd turn into another one of those sagas where the cyber racers get all revved up, promise the world and come race day they disappear into the landscape. I can envision the only guys showing up with bikes being you Vandy, me and my Honcho and one or two others. I may sound a bit cynical and negative but a number of recent occurences have turned me that way. I've found out the hard way that theres waaaay more cyber talkers than actual doers out there unfortunately.

Having said that, My Honcho's a fortnight off race readiness so if it's at all looking like a possibility....I'm in ;D

another point just came to mind...For me to bring my Honcho, one of the 'proper' bikes would have to stay at home.

this was my concern from the outset, people only have limited space and in all seriousness, who would put on a 100 dunger in place of a real bike. It's a bit of an ask :-\ just for the record I can bring either the supersonic TS100 or the mind blistering SL100 so long as there's going to be someone else to play with ;D

Maybe you Viccos should use it more. ;D ;D ;D ;D

yep! guilty i am...
a mate at work wants to play with his spraygun. so i'm giving him my tank to paint with my only stipulation being, "fire engine red".
i'm not sure what it'll end up like.
back to CD7.
my only request is for the 2nd track to be bigger...
or,
for the practise sessions to be split up into "era's".
only reason for me thinking that way was the sheer amount of traffic on track.
there was just litterally heaps of bikes out there at once.
didn't really bother me too much but i did hear from a few people that they felt a little overwhelmed by the amount of bikes at times.

Vandy ( 2nd track )    I knew the moto track would be as busy as, Hence  that is why I rode mostly on
                               the Enduro loops  ;)
And next year leave your water deviner behind  ;D

Yep, I'm there again.  Only a 4 hour drive for me this time 8) as I am moving to Dalby at Christmas time and I should have a few more bikes finished by then 8) 8).

This year I'm going to be a bit more organised and bring a nice little fountain to put over the water spout  ;D.

If the CD venue is going to make it's permanent home at Connondale. Then it would only make sense for everyone to move to QLD.  It could then become the VMX state.

Year round riding weather.

Not going to complain about Conondale getting the nod for CD7.Biased,sure! ;D
CD6 was my first time at a vintage meet, and loved every minute.
What I'd like to know is: Firko and Doc bringing up the point of the mighty 100s going around.
Is this going to happen?
Be a ripper to see.

Husk I've still got something of yours here :D just as well I don't drink so it's safe and aging nicely :D I'll make a promise right here and now to drag along a blowfly bike for CD7. Can't rightly say which one but either the TS90, TS100 or the SL100 :-\ I doubt the little G5 will have had the number done on it by then but never say never ;) Oldfart, you in? I know you have an ultra-competitive TS100 and it could be so bloody amusing! :D

Sorry Doc,work has really slowed for me these last few months.I keep thinking:Gotta get up to you,or you'll ditch the Turkey in Sandgate Creek.
I'm finding work is pretty scarce during the week, but strangely enough come Saturday, and I'm busy as,(worked the past 8 Saturdays straight). Not complaining just taking it as it comes.
When I do lob up your way,I'll have the 100s on the back, take your choice which one.
Nice to read that the bird hasn't flown the coup. ;D
