photo hosting sites, what do you use?
« on: July 19, 2016, 11:24:11 AM »
I'm wondering what photo hosting sites people use. I didn't want to use face book incase it was a security weakness so I tried photobucket which I've got it to work but it is annoying with ads and seems clunky to use and I don't know how well it allows others to browse (it looks crap to me from my phone ????)

Photo bucket seems ok to me. I usually access it with my iPad (large phone  ;) )

Since the conversion of Photobucket to a paid site displaying images has been a sore point in this forum. Dennis Vinduro has found that www.imgur.com works well which we at OzVMX HQ have begun to test ride, so give it a try. We'd love to see your pics

I'm using IMGUR and it's working fine.

I downsize pics to 640 x 480 to make them fit better and load faster.  With Photobucket, you could set this as a default, but IMGUR requires you to set this for each session.

Small price to pay for free hosting!

I've had an imgur account now for quite some time and it works well from my computer, but won't run from my phone which is what I use for static stuff (except the very rare situation where I want high resolution).
