While Goretex boots are the go for wet weather they are frightfully expensive.
All I use is rubber pull over boots ( cheap from a bike shop )
The trick to putting them on is first put ya boot/shoe in a plain old plastic shopping bag and then the rubber over boots just slide on

Thats why they make pubs. So you can wait till the rain stops ;)

Im yet to find a boot to keep all the water out all the time but it seems best to have your jeans and wet pants over the boots to stop the drips. Cheapy over boots  can benefit but I dont use them as they dont like gear levers and stuff..

At work I dont have the pub option so its thin sock two plastic bags thin sock then well oiled boot. usually gets me the whole rainy day with just sweaty socks.

The next day i wear my spare boots and dry the others.

Thanks everyone for your comments and knowledge. I  spent a lot of time when I was young bodging things up on the cheap and now although I don't want to spend a fortune on boots, I want to be comfortable and get to work with dry feet. Without stuffing around with plastic bags and wet socks. I've hit grumpy old man stage early lol jimson

Hi Jimson,
Waterproof on a motorcycle ;D ;D ;D ;D
I think it's like "you get what you pay for".

I'm a daily rider and comfort is my first choice. Especially when it comes to boots.
They are usually the first thing that I can't wait to get off.
I bought a pair of these Forma Nero's about 14 months ago for $200.
Most comfortable fit for my shape feet that I have ever owned.
I wore them everywhere, out on the town etc. Loved em. Done nearly as much dancing in them, as I have riding :)

But to my disappointment they are not leather. Turns out that they are that plastic crap(they started to crack about a month ago).

Anyhow, I bought a pair off these Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex® Boots a couple of weeks ago for $280 delivered.

Very happy with them so far and lead to believe their plain panels to be leather.
A bit more robust in construction, but still very flexible and comfy. Well they are on me.
They are responding well to leather conditioner, whereas my old ones nether did.

Good luck and enjoy :)
