SO FINALLY THE RED CROSS HAS SOME SERIOUS BUCKS DUE TO THEM IMPLEMENTING

"THE EMERGENCY BUSHFIRE APPEAL"
I understand your explanation Pokey and agree with it somewhat,                                                                     
even to the extent that administration staff must be paid wages etc.

BUT, what I would like is for the RED CROSS to make transparent exactly what amount of those donations
will be used OVERSEAS instead of the being used for the intention they were donated for, HERE,
Afterall, I for one assumed they meant THE EMERGENCY AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL

Waterproof on a motorcycle ;D ;D ;D ;D
I think it's like "you get what you pay for".

I'm a daily rider and comfort is my first choice. Especially when it comes to boots.
They are usually the first thing that I can't wait to get off.
I bought a pair of these Forma Nero's about 14 months ago for $200.
Most comfortable fit for my shape feet that I have ever owned.
I wore them everywhere, out on the town etc. Loved em. Done nearly as much dancing in them, as I have riding :)

But to my disappointment they are not leather. Turns out that they are that plastic crap(they started to crack about a month ago).

Anyhow, I bought a pair off these Alpinestars Web Gore-Tex® Boots a couple of weeks ago for $280 delivered.

 Very happy with them so far and lead to believe their plain panels to be leather.
A bit more robust in construction, but still very flexible and comfy. Well they are on me.
They are responding well to leather conditioner, whereas my old ones nether did.

 Had me stumped. So apprecite all the replies. Yes the Kawaski one is very similar.
Yes Michael it does have a very good mudcatcher rim fitted. Looks to be a "light weight" hub, so worth restoring if I manage to find a complete backing plate at the right price?


But, a coupe of questions spring to mind now
-Are they a reasonable stopper?
-No doubt Husqvarna must of chosen a smaller 140mm to improve handling further for 1974 mag model?
-Are the 160mm Husky hubs a good stopper? And are they of a similar light weight construction too?

Read your post post several times.

Just competed in the inaugural Australian 3 Day Vintage Enduro. My first Multi event. after 300+ kms in the slippery greasiest rutted rocky tree root infested sections (was lots of easy stuff too) all i had to do was fuel it, lube the chain and tighten the front axle nut once.

Nearly paints a picture. "completed", well done.

Ok,  thanks Pokey... good to know in advance that the crank seal must be on the inside and therefore inaccessible while engine is still in the bike....

Blowing heaps of smoke... heaps and fouling plugs...
Thought I should eliminate possibilities by first making sure adjustment is correct,  given the oil pump adjuster is out/up as far as can go.
