Competition / Points in case B40 BSA for Pre65

I am looking at a late B40 BSA powered Pre 65 project. I know there are no issues running the early distributor type version of these engines, but has there been a resolution, or is there a consensus or precedent for using the non dissy, points-in-case version in this era? Thanks, Marcus.

Suzuki / 1969/70 TS250 clutch plates

I'm screwing together a Pre70 TS250 and looking for some advice on the clutch friction plates.
 
These 69/70 use an 18 tab, all 'cork' friction plate versus the later 12 tab type that are usually metal reinforced.

Does anyone know if there is a metal reinforced 18 tab plate available- perhaps from an early TM?

Competition / Classic Scramble Club 2016 Gellibrand Scramble

The Classic Scramble Club's next meeting is fast approaching. We are back on the track at Gellibrand on Sunday August 28th. All welcome.
Entry is $60.00 on the day; one day race licences are also $60.00 for non MA Senior holders. Club membership is required and a one day Club membership will be $5. Entry is restricted to Pre78 bikes.
Long time Gellibrand host John Cochrane welcomes campers on the Saturday night and also organises catering from the canteen on the Sunday.
Gellibrand is a much anticipated and long standing natural terrain meeting on the CSC Inc calendar. The track is set on the side of a hill and features a satisfying to ride gully drop and corner, and a testing off camber uphill left hander leading to the straight. The surface is loamy black soil. The track is about 4.5 K from the Gellibrand township Melways Ref.X926H9

Property owner John Cochrane welcomes campers on the Saturday night and there is catering on Sunday.

Competition / Classic Scramble Club Race Meeting This Sunday

The Classic Scramble Club's Lloyd Martin memorial meeting is on this Sunday 17/07/2016 at our Lismore Vic. track. Day memberships are $5 for riders enter on the day and all pre 78 and older bikes are welcome. Racing starts at 10 am. The track is located in town at the Recreation Reserve off Seymour St. Catering is available.
