I've been taking to Paul at Precision Performance about a new set of coils for the YZ125 and was quoted a touch over $200 for the pair, these are new not rewound. The gear is from an english company (hopfully not Lucas  ;D)

May be worth a look?

Guys, I'm after recommendations on who your favourite stator guy is.  Looking to reco the stator on my YZ125G and the PVL's are a bit too pricey for me.

Can the coils be rewound as they seem to be sealed or can the shop install new coils? Or will any other YZ year bolt straight up to the G?

I'll just throw in a couple of comments for thought Woody.
My ElectrexWorld full ignition system is still sitting in its $400 box as it has a completely wrong advance/retard curve for my Bully - which it is "designed" for!
I asked for answers and help from the E/W UK but all I finally, eventually got was another repositioned stator plate and it did no good.
I got the system curve mapped by Aaron at Small Coil Rewinds (another $100) just to prove to myself that it was wrong, which it was.
I put in a set of old Femsa CDI and it runs good. no more pinking, and now gets power at full revs.
Small Coil Rewinds have always been pretty helpful for the bike shops I've been in, and lately SCR were the one's who could rewind a CBX650 Stator ring without totally dismantling it.

I use George at alternator & stator rewinds works from home at colovale in south of Sydney he has done a heap of stators for me over the years and has always been great good guy and wont rip you off usually sent back with in a few days of him receiving them
his number is 02 48895005
