marysville track was before my time
but i used to practice there through the mid eighties
it was at a fun type park that had downhill grass skiing
and the mx track was over back
think i raced there once in 1975
it was on the side of a hill good track
not too many knew about practicing there
we used to go and have the whole track to ourselves ;D

Merriang at Myrtleford (already listed) was one of my favourite tracks.

I'm surprised that Albury-Wodonga hasn't been mentioned as it held a fair few open meets.

We did get the Whitehouse boys along to our local track at Wahgunyah at least once or twice, anyone else know of it?  and then there was Wilby (near Yarrawonga) where I had my 1st race on a GT80B.

oh and Undera near Shepp

Started riding sidecars with Russ Bergmier at the Ballarto Rd track just outside of Seaford and mini bikes at Arcona (?) Park  on the Princess Highway between Berwick amd Pakenham. Also remeber riding sub-juniors at Cerbrus naval base, rained and being on sand it became like quick sand. remember Grant Cramer stepping off his bike bogged to the axles and needing 4 blokes to set it free. The Hartwell club also started the MX track out the back of the Granite Park short circuit track. Also had a great time on the Rally Cross track at Calder which was televised on Channel 10. Back in vic at the moment and can't get over how cold it is, staying out at Pakenham. And yes it was worth the trip from Mackay. Go Sainters!
