ummm..I think that one you have freaky is the push/pull job but yeah,
so far as I know it's the same deal except the cable. I have the same style carb ('77 TS400) on my '69 TS250 and it works ok. The TS50 arrived last Sunday as you probably guessed. The frame was cactus underneath (fixable) hence I slipped the motor out and fitted it into the TS75 chassis. Pop off the head, check the bore, no probs, back on with the head, clean the carb, rip out the old airfilter, fresh fuel, connect some wires, 3rd kick and it started and went straight to idle! absolutely minimal engine noise and purrs like a kitty :o 1st kick now no choke and she's away everytime.. a bloody little ripper ;D The TS50 roller I'll repair for a another project. Anyway, consider the carb sold ;) thanks freaky

sorry bout that Doc, cant say i ever looked at the frame, all i know is the motor ran as the local kids ran it in the back paddock before the throttle cable went, we got it off a dairy farm so that would explain why the bottom has eaten out.

you know if i knew i would have said so.

least its up there and has a new home

hey Freaky it's no issue bloke. It's obvious no-one would have seen it since the 'moment'. I'm more than happy with the bike but I just thought I best explain why I gutted a TS50 to make something that never existed :) The frame was eaten away by a welder (= the moment) ;) from the looks they've tried to weld on the footpegs, and the bolts and the engine mounts and anything else that was within arcing range but I think they had a zillion amps happening as it's blown bits out everywhere and the wire was all that was holding it all together. Great stuff that fencing wire :D anyway no complaints at all, if you had another I'd buy that too ;D

Liverpool bike wreckers had a TC125 flange carb for sale on Fleebay, rough looking and pricey for appearance.

thanks Gnomester but yeah, LBW are expensive ;) I can't justify $77 for an old carb that's probably seen many many miles and has the wear and tear to go with it. For $50 more I have seen NOS carbs in Thailand but I was just after a cheapy. About $20 or $30 is my idea of cost for a used TS/TC/RV125 carb ;)

Cheers Ed, here is a picture of the TS/RL250 carb. The TS125 item is pretty much a scaled down version of the one pictured ;)
