if ya want some brand new ones of those plates, i have the CAD drawing of them so that you can either cut your own or just punch it into a CNC machine. have both types (T - rollers) (x-1 roller and one nylon block) and could also arrange (z- 2 nylon blocks)
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

a little lateral thinking helps ppls and, not being overly anal about era or legality for vmx helps as well ;)

Leith thanks but used will do. Otherwise it'll make the rest of the bike look second rate ;)

check the fuel tank in the auction below. I made my final bid and didn't expect I'd win but what a great little paint job..file that for future reference I think ;)

yeah I was watching 247 ;) thing is the paint was brand new unmarked and very nice but the tank also came with a new tap and it had also had the liner treatment done so the price isn't too bad all things considered. I went to about $120 with my bidding. Anything over that price I'd prefer to have my own tank done locally in my own colours, after all, it is just a TS125 tank and nothing overly special or sought after but in my eyes it was quite an appealing paintjob ;) I don't know if you looked but he also had a repainted '76 TS100 tank (std suzuki blue nothing special) and that sold for well over $300au :o the vintage market place is a very unpredictable animal :D

$300 we bit of madness.  ::)
Don't suppose the red one would have fitted the TM250?

Alison no, it wouldn't fit the TM250 (easily). You could use a TS250 tank, different rear mount would need sorting and it may look a little odd on a '74 and they aren't as slim as the later TM250 tanks so preferably you'll be wanting the real deal ;) I don't know of any sorry...

You are probably right in saying he is a Harley tragic.... he has even painted the frame covers gloss black to resemble the Sportster oil tank  :D  :D

agreed the paintwork doesn't really suit but to say the bike looks crap is not seeing the woods for the trees. Respray the tank and return the fork lowers to the oem finish instead of crud black and you'd have a pretty tidy not far off original '76 TS250. Personally I'd fit the early model high plastic colour matched guards to give it a bit more red but I'd keep the chrome guards as they're worth squillion in really good nic ;)

Looks way older than the A model it is
"the cherry red TM style tank and black engine  with diaphragm carb"
Cant say i like the styling. belongs on a J or  K or even an L  that came with those chrome guards  and a big fat leg spreader tank.
and its got bloody road tyres on it, not even trials universals  :D
