Beaten both Lackey and Pomeroy in vintage races in the US.........when they both DNF'd.  Besides that, I've beaten the water truck on more than one occasion.

I don't think I have ever passed anybody, except when I pass them going in the other direction.
Gotta start somewhere.

P.S. and Ken dicing with the water truck is truely something to behold!! Just dont try to a block pass, you might come off second best.

I still get to race Jens Olsen,
can Often beat him to the first Corner,
he then normally passes me about shoulder High mid air on the biggest jump on the track,
I think the only time I passed him is when his bike seized and turned left in front of me
and I passed doing a somersault over the bars,
He is the nicest guy though, was already up and apologizing before I dragged myself of the ground.

Just remembered as a kid on the mighty Gemini 80 often raced and always beat a youngster (who is still a mate today) on his boring modified Dax his name Mike Bigger..... :)
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

...Jens Olsen,
... normally passes me about shoulder High mid air on the biggest jump on the track,

This is off topic, but:

Oh Yeah!  :o That same meeting, I saw him over-jump the second of the two small table tops on the back straight. Can't recall which bike it was (I think it was the TS-hybrid), but it was definitely a short travel bike and he landed flat after getting a LOT of air.
I was a few places behind at the time, and I cringed, but he rode off unfazed and was gone within a few corners...

On dirt track years ago at the old Mount Beauty flat track I passed Robbie Phillis once ... it was a 2 hour flat track event with a Le Mans start an I was on my XR500RC (only a year or so old back then).  Phillis was on an RM80!!! (his nephews or something I recall).  When the start gun fired he bolted across and basically pushed the RM into life and blasted off.  I got my XR going pretty quickly (it always was an easy starter) and took after in the first half of the pack.  After the first lap I passed Robbie as he was laying on the track after hitting a rider who was just taking off from the start.

And on the road race circuit I passed Garry McCoy at Eastern Creek when I was campaining my RS125 and he was on a exotic Aprillia 125 that was on loan to him from some European Team .. this was when he was just getting going after the late and great Barry Sheen helped him get a ride.  I lined up next to McCoy on the grid and could not believe how fast he got away .. he was fast an the bike was a jet.  Anyway around 2 laps later it crapped a plug and I passed him  ;D Sweet.
