And no, a beer fridge wasn't the answer for me ;D

Aiming high for VMX, but I find the the hardest Resto is my own body and mind.
I am thinking it is easy for a busted mind to follow on after a busted body.

I know of a few in this community, who deal with body injuries replaced body parts and still manage to get their shit back together and on the start line. Big K for one has dealt with a lot of this(good luck with the new hip too).

I have been doing heaps of proactive health, diet, etc, etc etc,
I found a new addiction this morning and no doubt a clear path help my VMX dreams, come together.
YOGA, no not YODA, but a thing called Yoga.

Yeah, yeah, its for girls hey :o
Yeah, yeah, no sit Sherlock ::) ::) I am the only bloke in the class ;D ;D ;D
He, he, so  ;D ;D ;D ;D

its got to be more fun at the back then the front, alot of good things to see providing their not kim k wide load types! on a serious note an old 84yo mate does yoga before his lunch each day and he seems in good health and still very active, maybe theres something in it for all of us

Yeap, not allowed up the back Gippslander :D

I think I have found something that will really help me get my VMX shit together. I reckon I will be doing it for the rest of my life. But hey, I put it up hoping it may help others reach their potential aged peak too. I hope it helps someone anyhow.
That's encouraging what you say about your 84 year old friend Matt. I believe it.

Wealth ain't much without health :)
Works for me :)

I lost 8.5kg on John Orchards no carb, but eat everything else in sight diet ;D
Put a few kgs back on now, but they are better kilos than the ones lost.

Just sharing, something positive. The healthier we are = more VMX.

I always found it amusing blokes going and spending big bucks to save weigh and gain HP instead of focusing on their own health and weight.
Dont be ashamed to do YOGA, My mates a Pro Kickboxer and he recons all the boys at the gym do it, very good for flexability. I want to have a crack myself.

I did about 5 20min mx sessions on the weekend and Im having trouble walking up my stairs 2 days later.I was just talking with a mate about yoga,Im going to give it a shot too and start to use my nutribullet. So much time spent working on the bikes and no time on getting my body ready, its funny when you think about it.

Just an update my 16 year old nephew just yelled out he is too sore to move as Im typing this, haha.

I find it unrealistic to think many riders need to hot up their bike.
Everyone is fast for 1 lap
Plenty are fast for 2 laps
A few are fast for 3 laps
Only the ones who train regularly remain
Not to mention the second race...........

100% correct it was race fitness that got us there at the end (and some luck) I try to eat as well as I can, stretch a lot (should be doing Yoga) I am not raceing ATM but life is a one shot affair, so try and keep as tuned and maintained as possible

riding the pushy was the best way to lift my fitness. im on the edge of the bell curve and im pretty fit standing still although the arthritic hands and the bung shoulders (tendons) hurt a bit.

I struggle more mentally than physicaly. True, as I've got older it's got harder. That's sounds wrong lol but being around lots of people does my head in. So to go out & ride/race would be very challenging.

Then yoga is the best thing for you Jimson. Do a beginners class. About 72 bucks for four weeks.

The obvious is not always right.
The other day when they wrap it up, back to earth sort of thing, they say to roll on your side sleeping position.
Side of your face against mat sort of thing. I  though whats that smell, I reckon that dirty b**** just popped off    ::)
Anyhow, went and bought me own yoga mat today. Driving home, I tought WTF is that smell. Shes in me car? It wasn't the woman, the mats smell..dough ::) :o ;D
