Nabiac
« on: June 25, 2016, 09:20:52 PM »
Had the chance to visit the Nabiac museum on the way home from (not so) sunny Qld.
The good wife alloyed me an hour but I managed to stretch it out a bit longer once I got talking to owner Brian.

It's definitely worth the look if you ever get the chance to get there

An aftermarket frame on display

Main hall

Side hall

They had all manner of brands on display

I think Roger used this bike to learn his sketching style

The 'work in progress' section

Way too much to take in during a short visit

Never been myself but will go one day for sure. I've got a one of one Australian made road race bike that I wish to lend to them once I've put it back to it's original condition from back in the day.

I was there a few years back and I spent a couple of hours there. Looking at your pics, it's obviously expanded since then. It was great value as well, A gold coin to get in and feast the eyes and senses for as long as you want.

Filled with the weird and wonderful. it wasn't there while I was growing up in that small hamlet but I wish it was.
I spent my youth mainly on and behind that big ass mountain to the left. Did you happen to see a small Green Russian road bike at the museum? That particular bike was my first ever foray into the two wheeled world.

Yes its a great place.

Get there before lunch. Get a Tee-Bone at Nabiac Hotel.

Heads-up, the rest of the menu is shit compared to the best Tee-bone
in the world. Then go back for another hour or two, lots to see.
