If I was running or working in a commercial workshop yes I would use a torque wrench.  If a thread strips and you aren't using one it is your fault.  Simple as that.

For my own shed I don't use one all the time, but on certain things it pays too.  eg the triple clamp bolts on USD forks.  They have a lower torque so you don't restrict the movement in the tubes.

I still say the stocked beer fridge is more important.

the one thing everyone should have in the shed. "a concrete floor" i have a 3x6 bit of concrete the rest is dirt cant do anything. oh and don't forget a bike.
When in DOUBT GAS IT!!!
