Husky 430 on Aus eBay
« on: September 19, 2014, 07:31:05 AM »
Nice bike (pity about those rims) and I hope the seller gets a sale but times have changed and money is tight.  Would certainly sell mine for that money  ;D

Nice bike but never a $10K bike. Not rare enough, & not special in the world of MX & I'm saying this as an avid Husky fan. You'd be hard pressed to get $10k for a pristine silver bullet or the ever elusive '83 TC510 today, shame it is.

But the cost of restoring them is not going down.

It sort of is, actually. Lots of stuff is now cheaper than it was five years ago, and lots of tools/skills are now cheaper and more available than they were.

IMHO they are significantly lower cost to restore now then they were 5.0 years ago.

Very nice bike, but not rare enough for the asking price, should still fetch a fair price as they are a sweet thing to ride , Kenny's probably on the money with his estimate.

Although Rob, US exchange rate is not as helpful as it has been. Perhaps parts are more available now, greater supply leading to lower prices. Always wonder how Michael can build and sell a bike for the price he does, but good on you Michael as this is good for VMX.

I have found that the trick is to get a reasonable core bike with reasonable wheels at a reasonable price and the rest look after itself.
