Ted to the rescue!
« on: April 07, 2014, 04:28:51 PM »
Ted has given me a huge stack of old VMX mags, my Dad just died today, just the thing I need to get my mind off him.

He went in for an ankle operation two weeks ago, it got infected because the doctor went on holidays after the op and left his nurse to inspect it post-op, she didn't realize that it was infected, two weeks later dead.  I feel the need to do something!

Hey John, very sorry to hear of your loss mate, I lost my mother to cancer just a couple of years ago and know all too well the heartache you're going through. Knowing someone dear is leaving is very hard to cope with, only lessened ever so slightly if we're lucky enough to get an opportunity to say goodbye. Keep well mate, I'm sure they had the chequered flag waving when they saw him coming  ;)

Sincere condolences, Brendan

Really sorry to hear about your dad, John.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

my sympathy goes out to you John, i got to know your Dad back in the late 80's when he was heavily involved in MX with your brother. he was a top bloke and passionate about the sport.

Thanks Guy's.  Yep Dad was an MA steward and President of our local bike club, he did a lot for the sport down here in Vic during the 80's, he went on to be a flag marshal at Phillip Island in the 90's.

Sorry to hear the news John,i had drama with infection after shoulder surgery 18 years ago, i ended up having to be opened up 3 times to put an end to it as no antibiotics were working, did they have any type of decent explanation?although that wont help thing's now,i hope the mag's are a good read and i always have my favourite old ADB's/Trail&Track close by ;)

cheers Dale.
