If you split the cases, make sure you match up the transfer ports for  smooth engine performance.

 Frame / body work  almost complete. 
 Engine work now underway .
  Full  Top & bottom  rebuild   &   decomp device will be added.

Looking good but those yellow seats are hard on the eyes ;D US spec was the baby poo yellow with civilized world getting the blue version as I recall.

I thought...
WR's had black seats
CR's had Blue seats, and
XC's had Yellow seats

But of course only in 1983.

  Interesting point Wayne   , re:  the  '83 Husky seat cover colours
  I was looking through an old ADB mag  (Jan '83) with articles on '82 Czech ISDE  & noticed blue , black &  yellow seat covers on the white   (WR? )  Huskys pictured at the event  ??? 
    Most of the  '83 (XC) models  (from what I have seen   old brochures ,pics , etc  ) have the Yellow cover.
   
   My 500  won't be ready for Canowindra  so I will be on the IT490 for that one.

Very nice, The 83 huskys are in my top 5, best looking dirt bikes ever made and thats going to be a fine example when finished.
