cool event.

Doesn't this meeting sound like a lot of fun. I love the drag race idea and the engineless downhill mini races. I copied this from Cousing Weedys CZ forum...................
May 24th and 25th, 2008. It's coming fast and I hope a bunch of you
can try to make it to the 8th annual Memorial Day weekend Vintage
festivities at Harper's Ranch in Greenwood, MO. Host of the 100cc
Nationals by Strictly Hodaka for 6 years now, this weekend has almost
everything you could possibly want for a racing vacation.

First off, this is a place for vintage and PV bikes to ride only. Not
a modified modern track that has been made "Vintage Friendly" All
events are geared toward the old bikes, riders and families.

Start the weekend at 9:00 am Saturday with a one hour hare scramble
that covers a large part of the 200 acre farm. Course will include
tight single track, fast grass track, and a little bit of MX. Classes
will be 0-200cc Vintage, 201cc plus Vintage, 0-200cc Post Vintage,
201cc Plus Post vintage. There will be one "Evolution" class for bikes
with front disc brakes. Also one kids class for trail savvy kids 12
and older.

Follow that with a Vintage Trials event at 11:00, This trial will be
set fairly close to the pit area to make for easy access for
spectators. This will be our fourth trial, but it has been a while
since we have done it on this weekend.

Drag races at 2:00. This has become a real fun part of the weekend.
The holeshot contest / drag races have classes for everyone. From the
50cc peewee guys to big bore open motors. 300 ft side by side double
eliminations.

The 6th annual 100cc Nationals by Strictly Hodaka get under way at
4:00 pm. Classes are Vintage: all machines thru 1975 with 4" rear and
7" front suspension as stock. Post Vintage: All 100cc machines pre
1983 with longer than 4" rear and 7" front suspension. Modified
machines welcomed.

And at the end of the day the long awaited soap box mini bike races…..
After the 100cc races, until dark. What is this? Well it's Harper
nonsense fun at your expense. Build your self anything you want to
play in this gravity fed event. The few rules are: It originally had
to have had a motor, but not now. It can weigh no more than 75 pounds
(the rider can be as big as he or she wants), Limited to 10" rim size.
Must have operating brakes, helmet required, full body armor advised.

Bonfire at sundown if your not completely worn out yet.

Then Sunday the 25th is a full day of MOVMX vintage motocross races.
All classes offered.

This is an event we work on all year to make it worth every penny you
spend on fuel. When you leave here on Sunday or Monday, I hope you are
completely exhausted and your muscles hurt for a week from all the
seat time you can get in two days of vintage motorcycle racing. See
movmx.com for all the details, directions and facilities.

Hope to see you here,
Curtis Harper

Thanks for the space

How about we duplicate a similar thing here. Sounds like my kind of weekend.
