Poll - Harley ownership
« on: October 20, 2010, 11:08:10 PM »
There seems to be a bit of noise about Harley ownership at the moment - given that the majority of the forum users seem to be approaching mid to late life (I declare this in almost total ignorance 8)) and plenty of people are having a say on the topic maybe some fun is to be had with this poll. Just pretend that this has something to do with VMX....at least its not arguing about classes.

Where's the "Would prefer to eat someone else's boogers" option?

I mean it doesn't push my boat out but if Nathan wants to eat other people mucus,  then we can always bag some up for him I guess.  :D

Talk about 'loaded' questions.

How about I wouldn't own/ride one of the POS's if it was given to me.

Count 1 for me on this account.

Marc, I never said that I wanted to do it - just that it would be preferable to owning a Harley.

Harley Davidson have perfected the art of turning petrol into noise without the added by-product of horsepower or handling ability.
You couldn't give me one of the buckets of puss for any money, stupid air compressor on wheels. IMHO they don't even look nice.

Never owned one never will (except maybe an MX 250 ). To me they look and sound agricultural and in my work i can tell you they are unrealible and fall over a lot ( hey its great for buisness ) .

It seems and many owners of other brands will agree that harley owners (or is it just harley riders) have an attitude and dont acknowledge other riders on the road WTF is that about  ::) are they really that embarrased or just dissapointed with their ride  ???

I take my hat off to the harley marketing dept though , they really have done a number in convincing thousands of middle aged blokes that if they ride a harley and get some tough stickers instant cool  :P

Yes i have ridden a couple of harleys and compared to jap bikes half the capacity they were SLOW ( good thing really because the brakes were shit ) HEAVY, and handled like a loaded wheel barrow with a flat tyre.

Obviously some people get the best out them , Marc posted a pic in another thread of a bloke racing one at Wanganui , that bloke rides the wheels off that thing and runs mid pack . To me that shows HE the rider has talent and on a Jap or Italian bike would probably run up front.

Hey Canam maybe you should add Nathans sugestion to the poll , as not a lot of people are voting on the current options  ;)
