I hope they're both OK, same spot on the track claimed them. Fair old step up jump that I was't going to attempt, even after getting the testicle inflator out. When KB gets better remind me to ask what the hell he was thinking on the first lap of practise? Seriously though I was right there and he did a big superman freestyle stunt thing before trowelling himself into the ground, much harder than what it looked so it seems. I honestly thought he'd jump straight up, but he was out cold & making funny noises for 30 seconds to a minute before waking up in ga ga land. I saw Kens bike circulating without him on it, he was too busy inspecting the moisture in the dirt from a very close angle. I trust they're on the mend and will be back next year. Happy healing boys.
Cheers,
K

Morning boys, after spending quite some hours in emergency at Traralgon, Mr Maico has 2 fractures in his back, so its time to hang the boots up permantly now. Off to see him now, he is hoping to be let out today once the Physio has him up, but he is one very sore chap, will keep you posted. A big thanks to all who helped yesterday, including Di in the tower helping me lapscore & those who did cnr duty & my family who packed everything up & brought it home for me & thanks to all who phoned to see what was going on. I too hope KB171 will make a quick recovery.

Thanks everyone for the best wishes, he is sitting on the couch with a big bag of ice on his back & reckons the whinge meter will be off it's dial soon, broken thumb, half his back missing & 2 fractured vertabrae's, think he has every right to a good whinge, but he said how good was the track  ;D ;D once again Blue Rock came up with the goods.

Dawn & Ken

When the pain is gone, this is what big BBQ yarns are made of! All the best you old soldiers..speedy recovery.

Something was conspiring to keep me safely away from the track yesterday: only managed to get my bike going 5pm yesterday... coolant water in crank case and everywhere. Hmmm. I like the idea of air cooling more and more.

Interesting (I can say that coz its not mine!). I figure the crank seal has blown but coolant in the gearbox is unlikely to make it that side of the engine. I'd be checking the head O rings first.
WANTED. Canams;all models,complete or parts.SWM stuff too!

What an awsome event.. i haven't been on a bike for a long time and was spoilt with weather and awsome track prep  just to get the bug back! Thanks to everyone involved, and i think there was a good effort with corner duty and watering. Thanks blue rock, the track layout is much better running backwards now and the jumps were great :)
Maico's, the only way to go.
