1980 Suzuki PE250 dunger

I didn't get to the Haigslea swapmeet yesterday, but I did find this locally in a farm shed. Most bits are there. I took the pipe and silencer off so they didn't fall off the back of my ute (they had a high-tech fencing wire attachment system). It runs after a fashion, shifts and stops eventually but.....

I don't know much about PEs except how to burn very valuable rubber bits (I am very sorry Leith). I grabbed it because I know there are a bunch of guys who think they are great. It has 10/80 on the compliance plate. I'll try and borrow a pressure cleaner during the week so I can find the engine and frame numbers - where do I find them guys?

There's got to be someone out there who'd do a straight swap for a fully restored, enduro ready GS250 KTM from around the same era??? Failing that, how about a pre 85 Honda XR, dead or alive?
