I KNOW EACH PERSON HAS THERE BIKE OF CHIOCE SO
HERE GOES IF YOU WERE TO RACE DIRT TRACK AND YOU HAD A 74 YAMAHA MX 360 AND A 73 MAICO 250 WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE

73 Maico if you can ride up classes, i.e pre 75 250 & pre 75 open, get better value for ya $ hypothetically, practically bigger bore is better :)

Yammy engine in the Maico frame, OK the Yammy with the Maico as backup, only because I know of and like the reliability and rideability (say that pissed!) of the Yammy. but no experience with the Maico. Tim :)

I've raced both and like 'em both. The Yamaha definitely faster but the Maicos handling and tractability are so much better than that of the Yamaha your lap times would be much quicker. The Maico isn't unreliable either. Those old 250s are so understressed they go on forever if they're set up properly and treated nicely. I've got no hesitation in picking the Maico (with the Yamaha front brake).
