Dirt track sidecars
« on: January 24, 2014, 08:57:20 PM »
Not really a vmx question but wanting to know if any members race modern sidecars like the raffin framed machines, lookin to either buy one whole or project with 13 in Hoosier tyres not bike rims or if any one knows the min max required length width I could possibly build one with a donor r1

Al,
Check this site out I have all the members details and I'm sure they would be very happy to help you out.
I currently run a Raffin frame with an 06 R1. I know Brownie is selling one of his bikes at the moment its on the site under the 4 sale banner I also know he is neg on price. Also more then happy to put the word out for you.
Barry Raffin is still building rollers in QLD and you also have Moir Race Frames and Peter Campbell in NSW or if you are keen on building one yourself I'm in Sydney if you need to have a look at one.
Cheers Rob

Al, I would say the 13" Hoosiers are the gun setup, but I have seen an oufit at Albury with 16'' wheels, I think ,take it up to the lads on 13s, the tension on the nut holding the handlbars an' all that  ;D. I've thought of another outfit Guru, Steve Bayliss in Bathurst, in the phone book, he might be able to help with something
