1979 SUZUKI RM125N
I raced this bike in the Victorian Viper series in the late 90’s as a Junior for 2-3 years and one year as a senior.
But since about 98-99 the bike has been sitting in the shed collecting a lot of dust, so it time to sell her.
I’ve given it a good clean up, and prepared it as if I was going racing on Sunday.
Cosmetically, it’s not the shiniest bike in the pits.
The seat could be recovered, the plastics are showing their age, and the tank stickers are bubbling-(does come with a second tank thats stained).
Mechanically it is very sound:
Back in the day, Hallam Boyz ported the barrel and modified the head and set the squish.
They also made custom reed valves and polished the carby bell mouth and venturi.
The bottom end was completely new when it was originally built, plus it had a NOS right hand crank case as we couldn’t find one that wasn’t cracked between the two gear box bearings.
A Wiseco piston and rings were fitted one race before the bike was put into storage-
It has been ceramic and Teflon coated by HPC as well as the expansion chamber.
The O-ring chain and sprockets are all fine, and the brakes are right to go and stop.
The suspension is fine at the moment, but from sitting for so long the seals probably aren’t what they used to be.
The rear shocks where reconditioned by Stacker Motorcycles I think the last year I raced it as a junior.
The swinging arm bushes feel tight and the Michelin S12 tyres still feel soft and would be around 90%.
As this is a second hand bike there is NO WARRANTY, I will not be held responsible for any failures or problems with the bike after purchase.
I'M HAPPY TO HELP WITH SHIPPING FOR INTERSTATE BUYERS.
